Dog photo shoot

The time had finally come to introduce our Blue Toby Pet Beds to our neighbors. With prototypes of our beds completed, we wanted to get photographs of pets using the beds, so we announced a photo shoot to the local community on social media. I was overwhelmed by the response! We had so many pet parents interested in having their dogs involved in our project that we filled up the slots quickly. I wish we could have included cats (who also love the Blue Toby beds), but we did not think that cats would appreciate coming to a new house filled with the aroma of many dogs.

We completed two days of photographing the dogs right before Thanksgiving. It was a wonderful experience. As an animal lover, I could not imagine anything better than getting to meet beautiful dogs of every shape, color, and size, and their humans. Each dog had to sniff around the house before settling down for their glamour shots. Everyone did beautifully, with amazing images that will grace our website and social media in the future.

I will never forget Lola – a gorgeous Golden Retriever – that wandered upstairs while she was exploring our house. When she did not come down, we went up to see what she was doing. Boy, were we shocked to find that she had gone into my sewing room, climbed up on top of the large cutting table, and was testing a piece of foam that was there waiting to become part of our Blue Toby beds. Lola posed for some more photos on the table (see picture above) before coming back down to finish her photo shoot.

All the pups went home with a goody bag to thank them for their hard work. It was a wonderful time, and I thank all of my neighbors in North Chatham County, NC for participating.
